Why this web site?
The
MIT Folk Dance Club has been holding dances continuously since 1962 (or 1959 according to some). It sponsored several festivals in the late
1960's that are reviewed here. This site is an attempt to provide a repository for the digital documents and images of the Club. Because many Club members were members of the Mandala Folk Dance Ensemble, many artifacts about Mandala are included.
Contributions are encouraged.

The MIT Folk Dance Club sponsors three nights of dancing every week:
Sunday: International Folk
Two or three Tuesdays per month: Contra Dance
